Ifemeludike Blasts Soludo Over Neglect of Anambra Capital
The African Action Congress (AAC) governorship candidate for the November 8, 2025, Anambra election, Chioma Ifemeludike, has criticized Governor Chukwuma Soludo for what she described as his government’s neglect of the state capital.
Ifemeludike, who is also a Nollywood actress, producer, and social activist, shared a video on her Facebook page showing the deplorable state of Uche Ekwunife Crescent.
She accused the Soludo administration of allowing major roads in the capital city to deteriorate despite the flow of state revenue.
“Oluatuegwu @ccsoludo, why are you afraid to fix the crumbling road networks in the capital city of Anambra State?” she wrote in the accompanying post. “A state capital should not look this neglected. With the federal allocations, internally generated revenue, and local government funds available, residents deserve to see meaningful development — not underdeveloped, rural-looking roads.”
In the video, which surfaced on Tuesday, the AAC candidate lamented the condition of the area, alleging that the governor had diverted attention and resources toward building a new Government House rather than improving public infrastructure.
“This is Uche Ekwunife Crescent — the road is in complete disrepair,” she said. “The governor abandoned the state capital to construct a new Government House with spacious roads, while the rest of the capital remains in ruins.”
Ifemeludike urged voters to hold the current administration accountable by making what she called a “conscious and rightful” decision at the polls. “On November 8, you have a choice,” she declared. “Don’t say you don’t have one — that choice is Chioma for Governor 2025. If you miss this opportunity, you’ll continue to suffer under poor leadership because Governor Soludo has shown he is not committed to providing quality governance or basic amenities. All he’s doing is putting on a show for the cameras.”
The AAC candidate has consistently positioned herself as an alternative voice in the state’s political landscape, vowing to prioritize transparency, infrastructure, and youth inclusion if elected.
