The Group Chief Executive Officer (GCEO) of Oando Plc, Mr. Jubril Adewale Tinubu, has been honored with the award of GCEO of the Year 2024 by Energy Times Magazine.

This recognition is a testament to Tinubu’s outstanding leadership and contributions to the energy sector in Nigeria.

The award ceremony, which took place at Oriental Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos was attended by dignitaries and industry leaders where Oando Plc was.also awarded the Emerging Major Oil Company of the Year.

This double honor is a significant milestone for the company, which has been making waves in the energy sector with its innovative strategies and commitment to excellence.

This is not the first time Tinubu and Oando Plc have been recognized for their achievements. Earlier this year, the company won the Energy Deal of the Year 2024 at the Nigeria International Energy Summit (NIES) for its $783 million acquisition of the Nigerian Agip Oil Company from Eni, an Italian energy firm. This deal was a game-changer for the company, marking a significant milestone in its growth and expansion plans.

Tinubu was also recognized as the Investor of the Year by the New Telegraph newspapers in February, in acknowledgment of his visionary leadership and investment strategies that have transformed the energy sector in Nigeria.
