Tinubu Congratulates Kresta Laurel on 35th Anniversary, Commends Firm’s Excellence and Integrity

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has congratulated Kresta Laurel Limited, a leading indigenous elevator and escalator company, on the occasion of its 35th anniversary, applauding the firm for its commitment to excellence, innovation, and professionalism over the years.

In a statement issued on Thursday by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, the President commended the company’s management and staff for their resilience, discipline, and sound business practices, which have sustained its growth and reputation as a model of indigenous enterprise.

“President Tinubu celebrates the remarkable achievements of Kresta Laurel Limited, acknowledging its contributions to Nigeria’s industrial development and its unwavering adherence to high ethical and operational standards,” the statement read in part.

The President also lauded the firm for its consistent innovation and technological advancement, describing it as a testament to the ingenuity of Nigerian entrepreneurs and a symbol of local capacity in a highly technical industry.

Kresta Laurel Limited, which has its headquarters in Lagos and operational branches in Abuja, Port Harcourt, Uyo, and a zonal office in Ibadan, has grown to become a major player in the elevator and escalator sector.

The company is also a recipient of the African Order of Merit in Cranes, Escalators, and Elevator Technology.

President Tinubu recalled the company’s support during his tenure as Governor of Lagos State in 1999, when it provided technical assistance to his transition team and early reform efforts that shaped the state’s modern governance model.

“Kresta Laurel’s record of excellence reflects the spirit of enterprise that drives our nation forward. I urge the company to continue setting benchmarks for innovation and integrity in Nigeria’s engineering and construction sectors,” the President added.

The President extended his best wishes to the company’s Chairman and Managing Director, Engr. Kola Balogun, and the entire staff, expressing confidence that Kresta Laurel will continue to play a vital role in advancing Nigeria’s industrial and infrastructural growth.
