Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board Announces 2026 Hajj Fare

The Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board has revealed the final cost for the 2026 Hajj pilgrimage to be ₦8,244,813.67, following the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria’s directive.

According to Sulaiman Dederi, Public Relations Officer of the board, intending pilgrims making fresh payments are required to settle the full amount.

Pilgrims who have already deposited ₦8.5 million will be eligible for a refund of ₦255,186.33 upon submitting a written request to the board. The payment deadline is December 31, 2025, as stipulated by NAHCON.

The board urges all prospective pilgrims to complete their payments before the deadline to secure their Hajj slots.

Notably, the board had registered over 3,155 intending pilgrims for the 2025 Hajj and concluded sales of the state’s allocation of seats.

Each year, Nigerian pilgrims travel to Saudi Arabia under NAHCON’s coordination, with state boards handling registration and logistics.

Licensed carriers approved for the exercise airlift pilgrims from designated airports.
