Mark, Jonathan, Others Grace Amaechi’s Son’s Wedding in Abuja

Nigeria’s political and social elite converged on Abuja on Saturday for the wedding solemnization of Dr. Chikampa Amaechi, the eldest son of former Rivers State Governor and ex-Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi.

Chikampa tied the knot with his heartthrob, Anita Nwabueze, in a colourful ceremony that drew dignitaries from across the country.

Among those who graced the occasion were former Senate President, David Mark, and his wife, Helen; former First Lady, Dame Patience Jonathan; wife of former Vice President, Dolapo Osinbajo; and former National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Prince Uche Secondus.

The event, which held at a high-profile venue in the nation’s capital, was marked by glamour, music, and an atmosphere of celebration, as friends and associates joined the Amaechi and Nwabueze families to witness the union.

Amaechi, who served two terms as Governor of Rivers State and later as Minister of Transportation under President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration, was seen beaming with joy as he played host to the distinguished guests.

The ceremony also highlighted the deep political connections and goodwill the former governor continues to command across party lines, with attendees drawn from different political camps and social circles.

The newlyweds were showered with prayers, goodwill messages, and blessings as they embarked on their marital journey.
