Cardi B Sets Guinness World Record With Drone-Powered Album Launch

American rap superstar, Cardi B has etched her name into the Guinness World Records by staging an unprecedented drone-powered album launch to promote her sophomore project, Am I the Drama?

In a stunt that blended music, technology, and marketing spectacle, Cardi B partnered with Walmart, Wing Drone Delivery, and her label, Atlantic Records, to distribute 176 signed CDs of her new album to fans across the Dallas–Fort Worth metropolitan area.

The deliveries were completed within just one hour on September 19, earning official recognition from Guinness as the record for the “Most deliveries by UAV (drone) in one hour.”

Speaking about the achievement, Cardi B described the event as a playful but groundbreaking way to connect with her fans.

“My album was literally flying off the shelves,” she joked in a social media post celebrating the record.

The event drew attention not just for its novelty but also for its broader implications in the music industry. While digital streaming has long overshadowed physical album sales, the drone drop highlighted how artists are increasingly turning to tech-driven, experiential campaigns to cut through the noise of the digital age.

For fans, it transformed an album release into a shared cultural moment.

Industry analysts noted that the partnership with Walmart and Wing Drone Delivery gave the launch a corporate and logistical backbone that made the record possible, while Atlantic Records leveraged the spectacle for maximum publicity.

Cardi B’s new album, Am I the Drama?, has already generated significant buzz, and the drone-powered launch added another layer of visibility. By fusing entertainment with innovation, the rapper not only promoted her music but also demonstrated how pop stars are redefining album rollouts in the modern era.
