Kano State Emerges Top in 2025 NECO SSCE Results
																																		Kano State has emerged as the best-performing state in the 2025 Senior School Certificate Examination conducted by the National Examinations Council.
According to the results, 68,159 candidates from Kano State scored five credits and above, including Mathematics and English.
The state’s governor, Abba Kabir Yusuf, attributed the success to his administration’s education reforms.
He stated that the reforms have prioritized education, with significant investments in school infrastructure, teacher training, and access to learning materials.
The governor’s commitment to education is reflected in the state’s budget allocation, with 31% of the 2025 budget dedicated to the sector.

Nationally, 818,492 candidates scored five credits and above, including English and Mathematics, representing 60.26% of the total number of candidates.
