Oyebamiji: Osun People Eager for APC’s Return to Power

The Managing Director of the Nigeria Inland Waterways Authority (NIWA) and All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship aspirant, Mr. Bola Oyebamiji, has declared that the people of Osun State are yearning for the return of the APC to power.

Oyebamiji, who spoke with journalists in Osogbo on Monday, said his interactions with residents across the state revealed widespread dissatisfaction with the current administration’s handling of resources and infrastructure development.

According to him, after touring 21 out of the 30 Local Government Areas in Osun, he discovered glaring infrastructural deficits despite what he described as the “humongous” allocations coming into the state.

“I have moved round about twenty-one local governments to consult, and I discovered and deduced that there are a lot of infrastructural deficits in Osun State. And I want to let my people in Osun know that I’m going to address these deficits, especially with the huge amount of allocation available to the state now,” Oyebamiji said.

He noted that the warm reception he received at various consultation venues was proof that the APC still enjoyed massive goodwill among the people and stood a strong chance of reclaiming power in the next governorship election.

“The way people thronged our consultation meetings clearly shows that our party retains the love of the people. The APC has a brighter chance to wrestle power from the present administration, and I am confident we will deliver a government that prioritizes development and the welfare of the people,” he added.

Oyebamiji further promised that if elected, his administration would focus on harnessing available resources for infrastructural renewal, economic empowerment, and sustainable development, stressing that Osun deserved a government that would translate its allocations into visible growth.
