Joy Is Coming: Nigerians Will Soon Enjoy 24/7 Uninterrupted Power Supply, Assures Minister Adelabu

The Federal Government has reassured Nigerians of its determination to achieve a stable and sustainable electricity supply across the country.
Minister of Power, Adebayo Adelabu, declared that citizens will soon begin to enjoy uninterrupted, round-the-clock power supply as reforms in the energy sector continue to gather momentum.
Speaking during a ministerial briefing, Adelabu said the government remains committed to delivering on President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, which prioritises energy sufficiency as a driver of industrialisation, economic growth, and improved quality of life for Nigerians.
“This administration is determined to fix the power sector once and for all. Joy is coming, as Nigerians will soon enjoy 24/7 uninterrupted power supply. We are laying the foundation for a sustainable system that will ensure reliable electricity for homes, businesses, and industries,” Adelabu assured.
He explained that the government is investing heavily in infrastructure upgrades, renewable energy expansion, transmission capacity, and the restructuring of distribution companies to ensure efficiency and accountability.
Adelabu noted that while challenges such as gas supply constraints, ageing infrastructure, and liquidity issues still exist, strategic interventions are underway to resolve them. He added that collaborations with private sector investors, international development partners, and state governments are also being strengthened to fast-track power projects nationwide.
The Minister further urged Nigerians to exercise patience and support the government’s efforts, stressing that the anticipated transformation of the power sector will not only improve living standards but also boost job creation, attract investment, and enhance national productivity.
“The days of unreliable and epileptic power supply are coming to an end. What we are working on will bring lasting solutions and position Nigeria on the path of sustainable growth,” Adelabu stated.
