Nigerian Troops Neutralize Terrorists, Rescue Kidnapped Victims in Katsina

The Nigerian Army’s Operation Fasan Yamma has recorded significant successes in its fight against terrorism and banditry in Katsina State. In a recent encounter, troops neutralized 23 terrorists and rescued 23 kidnapped victims, comprising 12 women and 11 children, in Pauwa village, Kankara Local Government Area.

 

The military operation, supported by air and artillery components, engaged the terrorists in a fierce battle, resulting in the deaths of the terrorists. The rescued victims were freed, and items recovered from the terrorists, including motorcycles, spare parts, lubricants, farm machinery, and foodstuffs, were destroyed.

 

In other operations, troops in Borno State apprehended a suspected terrorist logistics supplier with a mobile phone, wristwatch, and ₦55,000. Four family members of ISWAP/JAS terrorists also surrendered to troops in Gwoza Local Government Area. Additionally, five suspects linked to theft and drug peddling were arrested in Adamawa.

 

The Nigerian Army’s efforts to restore peace and security in the region continue, with troops rescuing kidnapped victims and engaging terrorists in various parts of the country.
