A group of Igbo people gathered at Assumpta Cathedral to protest against Nasir Erufai’s presence at the Odenibu lecture.
They expressed their rejection of Erufai due to his history of sponsoring hate comments and violence against the Igbo community. The protesters cautioned Mr. Peter Obi for allegedly trying to deceive Igbo people through his association with Erufai.
The community stated that they would no longer be part of what they described as “political gimmicks” and “political antics” aimed at deceiving them.
They emphasized their solidarity with the government in condemning violence against Igbo people.
The protesters made it clear that they would not accept Erufai and Mr. Peter Obi’s alliance, which they believe is driven by political desperation.
They concluded by rejecting any attempt to use their platform and state for purposes of deceit.
