Women in Mining in Nigeria (WIMIN) Launches 2025 National Jewellery Making Competition

The Women in Mining in Nigeria (WIMIN) has announced the launch of the 2025 National Jewellery Making Competition, scheduled to take place within the Gold and Gemstone Conference and Exhibition (GGCE) 2025.

 

This event aims to celebrate and promote Nigerian artistry in jewellery design, particularly utilizing locally sourced gemstones.

 

The competition, themed “Echoes of Heritage,” will feature two main categories: Bead Artists and Metal Artists. The event will be held from November 26-28, 2025, at the Lagos Oriental Hotel, Lekki, Lagos.

 

The competition seeks to unearth exceptional talent across Nigeria, providing a platform for emerging and professional jewellery artists to showcase their skills.

 

Winners will receive awards, curated gemstone gift packs, extensive media exposure, valuable mentoring sessions, and opportunities to retail their collections.

 

WIMIN emphasizes the importance of partnerships with industry stakeholders to achieve its goals. The credentials of the judges are expected to be announced soon, adding credibility to the competition.

 

By promoting Nigerian creativity and artisanal excellence, this competition is poised to provide significant visibility, recognition, and business opportunities for participants.
