Troops Neutralize 9 Boko Haram Insurgents, Including 2 High-Ranking Commanders

Nigerian troops have scored a significant victory against Boko Haram terrorists in Borno State, neutralizing nine insurgents, including two high-ranking commanders.

The operation, carried out by the Joint Task Force North East Operation HADIN KAI with air support, took place between August 21 and 22.

The slain commanders were killed during an intense battle in the Wulgo area. The military’s swift action foiled planned attacks on Bita and Wulgo, showcasing their commitment to protecting civilians.

In the aftermath of the operation, troops recovered a substantial cache of arms, including AK-47 rifles, ammunition, and six motorcycles used by the insurgents.

The military high command praised the troops for their success and urged them to maintain their momentum in the ongoing counter-insurgency efforts. This recent victory is part of a broader effort by the Nigerian military to dismantle Boko Haram’s operational capacity in the region.

The troops’ determination to tackle the insurgency head-on has yielded significant results, with numerous terrorists neutralized in recent operations.
