NPHCDA Trains 126 New Officers to Boost Primary Healthcare

The National Primary Health Care Development Agency (NPHCDA) has commenced the training of 126 newly recruited officers under its Leadership Development Academy (LDA), as part of efforts to strengthen service delivery across the country.

Speaking at the opening session on Thursday in Abuja, the Executive Director and Chief Executive Officer of the agency, Dr. Muyi Aina, said the training was designed to build a skilled and motivated workforce that would drive Nigeria’s primary healthcare agenda.

Dr. Aina charged the participants to embrace self-development and take full advantage of the opportunity, noting that the training would provide them with the knowledge, skills, and tools required to deliver effective services to Nigerians at the grassroots.

The NPHCDA is committed to equipping our staff to meet the growing demands of primary healthcare.

These new officers are joining at a critical time when we are deepening reforms and strengthening systems to ensure quality service delivery,” he said.

He added that the LDA initiative is part of the agency’s broader plan to enhance leadership capacity, improve accountability, and foster innovation among its workforce.

The training is expected to prepare the new recruits to contribute effectively to the agency’s mandate of providing accessible, affordable, and efficient primary healthcare services nationwide.
