Foundation Empowers 200 Ondo Students With Tech Skills, Awards 180 Scholarships

A non-profit foundation has empowered 200 students in Ondo State with essential technology skills while also awarding 180 scholarships to support their education.
The initiative is aimed at equipping young people with relevant digital knowledge and easing the financial challenges many face in pursuing their studies.
The beneficiaries of the training were drawn from different schools across the state and introduced to various areas of digital literacy. The programme covered computer appreciation, basic coding, and other ICT skills designed to prepare the students for future opportunities in the fast-changing technology-driven world.
In addition to the training, 180 students received scholarships to enable them to continue their education without the burden of financial constraints.
The foundation explained that the scholarships were awarded to bright but less privileged students as part of its vision to bridge the gap in access to quality education.
At the empowerment programme, the organisers said the initiative was born out of a commitment to invest in the future of young Nigerians by equipping them with both knowledge and financial support.
They emphasized that digital skills are no longer optional but a necessity for students who aspire to compete in today’s global economy.
Parents and community members present at the event commended the foundation for its intervention, describing it as timely and impactful. They noted that many families in the state are struggling with rising educational costs, and the scholarships will go a long way in providing relief.
The programme reflects a growing trend of private initiatives stepping in to complement government efforts in education and youth empowerment. By combining digital training with scholarship awards, the foundation hopes to inspire similar interventions that can help lift more young people out of poverty and prepare them for future careers.
