Pre-Thumbprinted ADC Ballot Papers Seized in Anambra By-Election

Security operatives on Saturday intercepted pre-thumbprinted ballot papers already marked in favour of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) at Aguata High School, Ekwulobia, Anambra State.
The materials, reportedly prepared for smuggling into ballot boxes during the ongoing Anambra South Senatorial by-election, were confiscated before they could be deployed.
Donald Amamgbo, the ADC candidate in the contest, is one of the leading opposition hopefuls in the election.
His party recently gained heightened political attention after being adopted by former Anambra State governor and 2023 Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi, alongside other opposition figures ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The interception adds to mounting tension as off-cycle elections are being conducted simultaneously across several states, including Kaduna, Kano, Ogun, and Oyo.
