Ademola Lookman Refuses to Play for Atalanta, Inter Milan Prepares New Bid

Atalanta winger, Ademola Lookman has reportedly gone on strike, informing the club that he won’t play for them again amid a potential transfer to Inter Milan.

According to reports, Lookman has made it clear to Atalanta that he wants to join Inter but is facing resistance from the Bergamo-based club.

Inter Milan has already made two bids for Lookman, both of which were rejected by Atalanta. However, the Nerazzurri are willing to get close to the asking price of €50 million. Lookman’s determination to force a move to Inter has led to a standoff with Atalanta, with the player allegedly skipping training sessions and even removing all Atalanta-related content from his social media.

Atalanta’s CEO, Luca Percassi, has confirmed that the club had promised Lookman a transfer but clarified that it wasn’t to a team in Serie A. This stance has further complicated the transfer negotiations, with Inter Milan preparing a new bid to persuade Atalanta to sell the Nigerian international.

The latest developments suggest that Inter Milan is willing to meet Atalanta’s asking price to secure Lookman’s signature. With the transfer window closing soon, both clubs are under pressure to reach an agreement. Lookman’s future is expected to be decided in the coming days, with Inter Milan eager to strengthen their squad.
