FG Publishes Half-year Allocations to LGAs from FAAC

The Federation Account Allocation Committee has released the list of local government areas that received the highest allocations from January to June 2025. Lagos State dominates the list, with Alimosho Local Government Area topping the chart with a whopping ₦15.75 billion allocation.

 

Other top-performing LGAs in Lagos include Ajeromi/Ifelodun (₦12.59 billion), Kosofe (₦12.45 billion), Mushin (₦12.29 billion), and Oshodi/Isolo (₦12.24 billion).

 

These allocations highlight the significant role Lagos plays in Nigeria’s economic landscape.

 

Beyond Lagos, other notable LGAs that received substantial allocations include Abuja Municipal in the Federal Capital Territory (₦8.11 billion), Port Harcourt in Rivers State (₦6.44 billion), Obio/Akpor in Rivers State (₦5.97 billion), Bwari in the FCT (₦5.25 billion), and Khana in Rivers State (₦5.13 billion).

 

These allocations are crucial for local government areas, enabling them to meet their obligations and deliver essential services to citizens. The FAAC allocations have been a significant source of funding for LGAs, and their impact is felt across various sectors, including infrastructure development, healthcare, and education.
