Newcastle Offers €75 Million for RB Leipzig’s Striker, Benjamin Sesko

Newcastle have reportedly submitted a €75 million (£65.4 million) offer for , with an additional €5 million (£4.3 million) in potential add-ons.

 

The club is keen to acquire Sesko as a potential successor to Alexander Isak, who has expressed a desire to leave, although the Magpies are determined to retain him while simultaneously pursuing a prominent striker.

 

Manchester United has also expressed interest in securing Sesko’s services, having tabled a bid purportedly worth up to £69.7 million.

Similar to Isak, Sesko was absent from the Bundesliga club’s squad during their friendly match against Atalanta on Saturday afternoon.

The Newcastle manager acknowledged that this summer has posed challenges for the club, as they have missed out on several targets for a variety of reasons.

 

“Nonetheless, we remain highly competitive and are steadfast in our efforts to bring exceptional players to the club, and this will persist until the transfer window concludes.”
