‎Peter Obi, Anambra Speaker Celebrate Soludo at 65, Laud His Leadership, Achievements

Former Anambra State governor, Mr. Peter Obi, and the Speaker of the Anambra State House of Assembly, Dr. Somtochukwu Udeze, have congratulated Governor Chukwuma Soludo on his 65th birthday, commending his contributions to the state’s development.

‎In a personally signed goodwill message on Monday, Obi described Soludo as an “elder brother and a leader whose efforts in advancing Anambra and Nigeria are widely acknowledged.”

‎“My family and I join millions in celebrating you today. May God continue to bless you with strength, wisdom, and good health as you serve our dear state and nation,” Obi said.

‎He also wished the governor divine guidance and sustained progress for Anambra under his stewardship.

‎In a separate statement, Speaker Udeze praised Governor Soludo for transforming Anambra through impactful governance. He said the governor had demonstrated that his mission in politics was to accelerate development and improve lives.

‎“Governor Soludo has distinguished himself nationally through landmark achievements in all sectors of the state’s economy,” Udeze stated.

‎The Speaker reaffirmed the House’s continued support for the governor’s administration, citing his transparent, inclusive, and people-centered leadership style.

Udeze listed some of the governor’s achievements, including the construction of the state’s first Government House and Governor’s Lodge, the launch of the Solution Fun City, massive road projects, healthcare and education upgrades, agricultural revitalization, improved security, youth empowerment, and job creation.

‎He noted that despite the legislature’s approval, Soludo had governed prudently without borrowing funds.

‎The Speaker urged Anambra residents to reward Soludo’s performance by re-electing him in the upcoming November 8 governorship poll.

‎He also appealed to politicians across party lines to support Soludo’s re-election as a collective duty to sustain the state’s progress.

‎Udeze concluded with prayers for more fruitful years and peace for the governor and his family.
