Eko Electricity Distribution Company Announces 24-hour Outage Across Network

Eko Electricity Distribution Company (EKEDC) has disclosed a forthcoming power interruption orchestrated by the Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) spanning approximately 24 days across its network coverage.

 

This announcement is encapsulated in a public notice issued by EKEDC to its clientele on Friday, July 25, 2025, wherein it delineated that the outage will transpire from Monday, July 28 to Thursday, August 21, 2025.

 

The scheduled disruption, occurring daily from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., is intended to facilitate the safe execution of works on the Omotosho – Ikeja West 330KV power line.

 

The power distribution company highlighted that this operation will result in sporadic outages and load shedding throughout its network.

 

The public notice from EKEDC states, ‘’Dear Esteemed Customer. Please be advised that there will be a scheduled outage by our associate, Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN).

 

‘’Date: Monday, 28th July to Thursday, 21st August, 2025. Time: 08:00 – 17:00 hrs (daily).

 

‘’Purpose: To facilitate the safe execution of works on the Omotosho – Ikeja West 330kV power line.

 

‘’Impact: Sporadic outages and load shedding throughout our network.

 

‘’Affected Areas: Across our network coverage.

 

‘’We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.’’

 

EKEDC implored its customers to kindly endure this period with patience.
