President Tinubu Gives Social Succor to Zamfara APC

In a gesture that aimed to help members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Zamfara State, President Bola Tinubu has donated 7,000 bags of rice as a Ramadan relief package. The exercise, which was carried out in Gusau, the state capital, was led by the Minister of State for Defence, Dr. Bello Matawalle, who represented the president.
On behalf of the President Tinubu, Dr. Matawalle reported that the gift was among efforts made by the federal government towards reducing economic struggles and providing less fortunate individuals during the sacred Ramadan month. He emphasized that the rice would be distributed to members of APC, from state executives, local government executives, to ward executives, all aimed at mitigating hardship encountered by members of the party in the area.
Dr. Matawalle also implored members of the party to pray for continued peace and stability in Zamfara and across Nigeria. He assured the public that the government of President Tinubu is still determined to tackle issues such as banditry and criminality in the North-Western part of the country, which have been a source of worry for the local populace.
While images of rice sacks bearing the face of President Tinubu have been circulating, it must not be forgotten that the president justified his involvement in the distribution. He claimed that he was not directly implicated in the distribution of the rice, even though some of his loyalists and support groups may have carried out such distributions as a token of respect during the period of Ramadan.
The gift of these 7,000 bags of rice in Zamfara shows the federal government’s effort to bring relief to the populace, particularly amidst ongoing issues, and emphasizes President Tinubu’s determination to support his party faithful and tackle local issues.
