Ekiti APC Dismisses Rumours of Internal Rift

The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ekiti State has denied reports that former Governor Kayode Fayemi is planning to destabilize the party or lure members away through a secret stakeholders’ meeting.
The party’s Publicity Secretary, Segun Dipe, described the claims as baseless and fabricated by rumour peddlers seeking to create internal strife.
Dipe emphasized that the party is united in its support for Governor Biodun Oyebanji’s re-election bid and that Fayemi’s potential meeting would be aimed at achieving this goal. He reaffirmed that all stakeholders, including Fayemi, are committed to ensuring the party’s victory in the upcoming gubernatorial election.
The APC’s strong stance comes amid ongoing endorsements of President Bola Tinubu and Governor Oyebanji by various groups in the state.
Dipe noted that while the party may not be directly supporting these endorsements, it has no reason to discourage them as they contribute to consolidating the party’s hold on governance.
The party’s leadership has warned against the spread of falsehoods and reaffirmed its focus on winning the governorship election and maintaining its strong position in the state.
