Daura Emirate Backs Tinubu for 2027 Presidency

The Emir of Daura, Alhaji Umar Farouk Umar, has reaffirmed the emirate’s support for President Bola Tinubu’s re-election bid in 2027.

The monarch made the declaration during a condolence visit by Nigeria’s First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, to the late President Muhammadu Buhari’s family home in Daura, Katsina State.

The First Lady, accompanied by a delegation of the wives of leaders of the National Assembly, governors, ministers, and other notable women, visited the Buhari family home to pay respects and offer prayers for the late president’s soul.

The Emir praised President Tinubu’s leadership and expressed confidence in his ability to lead the country forward. He assured the First Lady that the Daura Emirate remains committed to supporting the president’s administration and re-elected him as their preferred candidate for the 2027 general elections.

The visit was marked by a sense of solidarity and respect, with the First Lady commending the late President Buhari’s legacy of discipline, sacrifice, and national service.

The Daura Emirate’s endorsement is seen as a significant boost to President Tinubu’s re-election bid, given the region’s influence and importance in Nigerian politics.
