Oluremi Tinubu Leads Governors’ Wives on Condolence Visit to Aisha Buhari in Daura

Nigeria’s First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, on Friday led a delegation of governors’ wives and senior government officials to Daura, Katsina State, to pay a condolence visit to former First Lady Aisha Buhari following the death of her husband, former President Muhammadu Buhari. The late president passed away in London on July 13, 2025, and was buried on July 15 in his hometown of Daura. The First Lady's visit marked a significant moment of solidarity and national unity during a time of mourning. Accompanied by several governors’ wives, including those of Niger, Kebbi, and Borno States, Oluremi Tinubu was received by Aisha Buhari and other family members of the late president. The atmosphere was solemn as the visitors extended their sympathies and offered prayers for the repose of the former president's soul. Speaking during the visit, the First Lady described Muhammadu Buhari as a leader who served Nigeria with honesty, integrity, and deep commitment. She prayed for Allah to grant him eternal rest in Al-janah Firdaus and for strength and comfort for the bereaved family.
