Dele Aleke Pays Tribute to Late President Muhammadu Buhari

In a heartfelt tribute, Dele Alake reflected on the life and legacy of former President Muhammadu Buhari, describing him as a leader whose unwavering devotion to faith and humanity inspired a nation.

Alake took a trip down memory lane, tracing Buhari’s journey from his early days in the military to his rise as a prominent figure in Nigerian politics. He highlighted Buhari’s experiences during the Nigerian Civil War and his role in the coups and counter-coups that shaped the country’s government.

The speaker praised Buhari’s determination to restore Nigeria’s integrity during his time in office, particularly during his 1983-1985 regime.

Despite controversies surrounding his rule, Alake noted that Buhari’s ethical priority, exemplary discipline, and passionate patriotism set him apart as a leader.

Alake also commended Buhari’s later years, describing him as a man who remained true to his convictions and refused to be swayed by material inducements.

He called on Nigerians to remember Buhari’s legacy and to tell their children about the leader who lived a life of integrity and service to his country.

“May his soul rest in perfect peace,” Alake concluded, paying tribute to a man who had left an indelible mark on Nigeria’s history.
