Multiple Injuries Reported in 3rd Mainland Bridge Accident
A commercial bus and a Toyota Camry were involved in a serious accident on the 3rd Mainland Bridge in Lagos, leaving several passengers injured.
The incident occurred before Adekunle Junction, inward Lagos Island, and the commercial bus reportedly somersaulted multiple times after the collision.
The Rapid Response Squad (RRS) promptly responded to the scene, providing first aid to the injured passengers. RRS patrol teams and bikers worked alongside officers from the Adekunle Police Division to render rescue support. Emergency service providers were also mobilized to the scene.
Fortunately, there were no fatalities in the incident. The RRS confirmed that the ill-fated vehicles have been evacuated, and normal traffic flow has been restored on the route. The squad’s swift response and rescue efforts likely prevented further harm to those involved.
