No Coalition Can Stop Tinubu’s Re-election in 2027, Boasts Rep Oseni

A member of the House of Representatives, Hon. Remi Oseni, has declared that no opposition coalition or political alignment will be strong enough to prevent President Bola Ahmed Tinubu from securing a second term in the 2027 general election.

Oseni, who represents Ibarapa East/Ido Federal Constituency of Oyo State under the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC), made this assertion during a media interaction on Saturday, where he spoke confidently about the president’s achievements and the ruling party’s growing popularity across the country.

According to him, President Tinubu has shown unmatched political strength and leadership, especially in the face of Nigeria’s economic and security challenges.

He maintained that despite the wave of alliances emerging from the opposition camp, particularly the coalition being formed by prominent politicians such as Atiku Abubakar and Peter Obi under the African Democratic Congress (ADC), their efforts would amount to nothing.

“No coalition, no matter how loud or strategic, can stop President Bola Ahmed Tinubu from winning re-election in 2027,” Oseni said. “What the president has been able to do in just over a year is impressive. He has stabilized the country, initiated bold reforms, and shown uncommon courage in making tough decisions.”

The lawmaker described Tinubu as a “visionary leader with the political sagacity” to lead Nigeria through its economic transformation, stressing that most of the hardship currently being faced by Nigerians is due to years of accumulated misgovernance which the Tinubu administration is now trying to rectify.

“His removal of fuel subsidy, floating of the naira, and security investments are not popular decisions, but they are the right steps toward long-term recovery,” he added.

Oseni also used the opportunity to criticize the opposition coalition for lacking unity and a clear agenda. He questioned the credibility of political actors who, according to him, have a history of defecting between parties and prioritizing personal ambition over national interest.

“Those coming together now have failed to present a workable solution for Nigeria in the past. What new thing do they have to offer Nigerians in 2027?” Oseni asked.

The APC lawmaker further stated that the party remains united and is preparing early for the 2027 general elections, adding that the recent endorsements of Tinubu’s second term bid by various stakeholders and regional caucuses, including the South-South APC leaders, is proof that the president enjoys massive grassroots support.

Oseni concluded by calling on Nigerians to remain patient and support President Tinubu’s reform agenda, assuring them that the difficult decisions being made today will yield positive outcomes in the near future.

The 2027 elections are already drawing significant attention with both ruling and opposition camps laying early groundwork for a fierce political battle. However, Oseni’s remarks reflect the growing confidence within the APC that Tinubu remains the strongest candidate heading into the next electoral cycle.
