IGP Shuffles Commissioners of Police in Six States, FCID
The Inspector General of Police, IGP Kayode Egbetokun, has approved the redeployment of senior officers to various commands across the country, including Borno, Cross River, Ondo, Jigawa, and Osun States, in a strategic move aimed at bolstering security operations nationwide.
According to a statement from Force Headquarters, the newly appointed Commissioners of Police are CP Naziru D. Abdulmajid (Borno State Command), CP Bello Rasheed Afegbua (Cross River), CP Dahiru Mohammed (Jigawa), CP Adebowale Lawal (Ondo), and CP Ibrahim Gotan (Osun).
Additionally, CP Eloho Edwin Okpoziakpo has been deployed to head the Department of Training and Development at the Force Headquarters, while CP Olusegun Eyitayo Omosayin has been posted as CP General Investigation at the Force Criminal Investigation Department (FCID) Annex in Gombe State.
IGP Egbetokun stated that the fresh deployments are designed to harness the diverse and extensive policing experience of the senior officers to enhance law enforcement effectiveness and improve public safety in their respective areas of responsibility.
He reaffirmed the Nigeria Police Force’s commitment to maintaining law and order and called on citizens to support the police through collaboration and timely information sharing in the ongoing fight against crime and insecurity.
