Shettima Arrives in Ethiopia for High-Level Talks

Kashim Shettima, Nigeria’s Vice President, has touched down in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, for a significant state visit at the invitation of Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed.
Upon arrival, Shettima was warmly received by Ethiopia’s Foreign Affairs Minister, Gedion Timothewos, and other senior diplomats from both countries.
During his visit, Shettima is set to play a key role in launching Ethiopia’s ambitious environmental initiative, aimed at planting billions of tree seedlings to combat deforestation and climate change.
The program seeks to make a significant impact on the country’s ecosystem and contribute to global efforts to mitigate the effects of climate change.
The Vice President will also explore opportunities for cooperation in agriculture and industrial development, visiting key industrial zones and agricultural facilities in Ethiopia.
This visit is expected to strengthen bilateral ties between Nigeria and Ethiopia, fostering collaboration and mutual benefit in areas of shared interest.
