Federal Government Moves Immigration, Civil Defence Recruitment to July 14

The Federal Government has officially postponed the commencement of its recruitment exercise into several paramilitary services, including the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS), Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Federal Fire Service, and the Nigeria Correctional Service (NCoS).

According to a statement released by the Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB) on Wednesday, June 25, the recruitment portal originally scheduled to open on Wednesday, June 26, 2025 will now go live on Monday, July 14, 2025.

The decision was to cited internal administrative adjustments as the reason for the postponement.

The CDCFIB apologized for any inconvenience the change may cause to prospective applicants.

The application process remains completely free and will be conducted exclusively through the official portal: recruitment.cdcfib.gov.ng.

“The Board regrets any inconvenience caused by this shift and urges applicants to take note of the new date,” the official statement read.

The recruitment exercise is aimed at filling vacancies across the four key paramilitary agencies under the Ministry of Interior. It comes amid increasing public interest due to rising unemployment and demand for federal job opportunities.

Applicants are advised to be wary of fraudulent websites or individuals claiming to represent the recruitment board.

The CDCFIB emphasized that no payment is required at any stage of the process and warned against patronizing any unofficial platforms.

Further details, including eligibility requirements and application guidelines, are expected to be published on the portal once it opens.
