Conduct DNA Test on All Children of Justice Bello Before Executing Will, Daughter Insists

The daughter of the late Justice Moses Bello, Ann, has given the executors of her father’s will 14 days to conduct DNA tests on all his children or face criminal charges.

This demand follows a court judgment declaring the codicil of her father’s will invalid, reinstating the original will’s instructions.

Ann Bello’s lawyer, Victor Giwa, delivered the ultimatum in a notice addressed to Rev. Father Ezekiel Awolumate, the parish priest of Christ the King Catholic Church, Okene, and executor of the will.

The notice asserts that the DNA test is a prerequisite for the children to inherit their father’s assets, as stipulated in the will.

The dispute arose from the distribution of Justice Bello’s properties, with Ann Bello contesting the adopted sharing formula of 4.16%. She had sued the executors, seeking a declaration that she is entitled to an 11.11% share of her father’s assets.

The court dismissed her suit, upholding the original will’s instructions.

The notice warns that failure to comply with the DNA test demand will result in the affected children being dispossessed of their inheritance.

Ann Bello’s lawyer also threatened to press criminal charges against the executors if they fail to comply with the notice.
