Bomb Threat Forces Diversion of Hajj Pilgrims’ Plane in Indonesia

A commercial aircraft carrying Hajj pilgrims in Indonesia was forced to make an emergency diversion following a bomb threat, raising fresh concerns over aviation security during this year’s pilgrimage season.

The incident occurred on Saturday, June 21, 2025, as the plane, en route to Saudi Arabia, received an alert indicating a potential explosive device on board.
