No presidential candidate possesses a background akin to mine, Boasts Peter Obi

Peter Obi, the 2023 presidential candidate of the Labour Party, asserted that none of the politicians vying for Nigeria’s presidency shares his unique background.

The former Governor of Anambra State declared his dedication to a better Nigeria and affirmed his qualifications to lead the nation.

Obi made these remarks during an interview with Arise Television on Monday.

Drawing upon his extensive experience in both business and politics, the ex-governor claimed to encompass the qualifications of every presidential contender in the country.

“Let me assure you, I am wholeheartedly committed to a prosperous Nigeria, and I possess the requisite skills. I have the experience comparable to all those aspiring to the presidency today. No one shares my background. I built a business from the ground up within this nation. I’ve navigated the corporate world and served as a governor… I transformed the smallest bank into a N25 billion institution,” he stated.

Obi further mentioned that he saved money for the Government of Anambra State, emphasizing that since he left office, he has not received any pensions or gratuities from the state government.

“During my tenure as governor, I ensured that when I departed, I owed nothing to anyone, and I believe I saved the most money. Since my departure from office, no pensions, gratuities, or even a bottle of water have been given to me,” he remarked.

To bolster his assertion, Obi declared that any land allegedly allocated to him by the Government of Anambra State should be seized.
