I Have Covenant with God to Establish 1,000 Churches Before I Die, Reveals Oyedepo

Bishop David Oyedepo, founder of Living Faith Church Worldwide, widely recognized as Winners Chapel, has revealed a personal pledge to God to establish 1,000 churches before his departure from this world.
During a recent sermon, Oyedepo shared how he made this commitment to contribute to the expansion of God’s kingdom long before he even opened his first bank account.
He recalled, “Prior to having any financial resources, I vowed, ‘Jesus, if You ever grant me prosperity, I will dedicate it to constructing churches for Your glory.’”
Highlighting the sincerity of his promise, he emphasized his aspiration to leave a concrete legacy of service, stating, “I conveyed to Jesus that I desire to enter heaven with a thousand houses of worship established in Your name.”
Oyedepo further urged his audience to evaluate their own dedication to spiritual stewardship, referencing underutilized assets within the congregation. He pointed out that some members possess vehicles that remain unused on Sundays, despite their potential to aid church activities.
“Certain individuals have buses sitting idle, yet they hesitate to deploy them, citing fuel costs of N2,000 per half litre. If the vision resonates in your spirit, act on it,” he remarked.
Encouraging accountability, he concluded, “The moment has arrived for everyone to awaken and embody their true spiritual identity. Reflect deeply: your actions mirror your inner reality. Let this be the hour you begin to manifest what lies within.”
