Be Optimistic, We’ve Passed the Worst, Tinubu Charges Nigerians
President Bola Tinubu has urged citizens to remain optimistic about the country’s future, despite current challenges.
In a message marking Eid-el-Kabir, Tinubu acknowledged that Nigeria still faces significant hurdles, but expressed confidence that the nation is on the path to progress.
The President emphasized the importance of perseverance, tolerance, and compassion, values that are at the heart of the Eid-el-Kabir celebration. He also praised the resilience and patience of Nigerians, which he believes are essential for the country’s growth and development.
Tinubu’s administration has implemented a range of reforms aimed at transforming the economy and improving living standards. While progress has been slow, the President is convinced that the benefits of these reforms will soon be felt by all Nigerians.
The President also used the occasion to pay tribute to the people of Mokwa, Niger State, who were affected by a recent flooding disaster that claimed over 150 lives and destroyed numerous properties. He called on Nigerians to come together to support those affected by the tragedy.
Furthermore, Tinubu expressed his appreciation for the sacrifices made by frontline officers who put their lives at risk to ensure the safety and security of citizens. He also urged Nigerians to pray for their leaders, the country, and those in need, and to remember the values of kindness, loyalty, and shared humanity that are central to the Eid-el-Kabir celebration.
