Video of My Daughter Raising Alarm about Being Sacrificed Old, recirculated by Political Traducers, Says Eno

Governor Umo Eno of Akwa Ibom State has addressed a recently resurfaced video in which his daughter, Jane Eddidiong Ufot, accuses him of involvement in the demise of her mother, Patience Umo, the former first lady of the state, who passed away on September 26, 2024. Earlier this week, the video featuring Jane’s allegations circulated on social media.
In the initial video of the pair, Jane states, “My name is Jane Eddidiong Ufot, Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Health, Safety, and Environment. Daddy, I’m sending this message exclusively to you. Please, let’s converse before this ruins everything. I am not a sacrificial offering. Mummy was—I am not. I grant you a few moments. If you fail to act, I’ll share this widely.”
In another video, she is seen conversing with her daughter, urging her to repeat, “Tell Grandpa, ‘Do you want them to harm us? Do you wish for us to perish like my baby brother did? If I perish today, or if my daughter perishes—Agimini—if we perish due to God’s revelation of the truth, so be it.
But my blood shall not be in vain. Please heed this—I am more interested in preserving my life.'” While addressing the press on Saturday, May 31, Governor Eno confirmed that the video was recorded last year, shortly after his wife’s passing, and characterized its reappearance as a scheme by political adversaries.
