Senator Ireti Kingibe Commends FCT Minister, Calls for Budget Passage

Senator Ireti Kingibe, representing the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), has commended the Minister of Finance and the FCT Minister, Wike, for presenting a well-structured budget.
She urged her colleagues to pass the ₦1.78 trillion budget as it is, while also suggesting that some issues be discussed with the Minister in further detail.
Senator Kingibe described the budget as “well-resulted” and commended the FCT Minister for his efforts. She expressed her support for the budget and encouraged her colleagues to pass it without any amendments.
However, Senator Kingibe also highlighted the need for further discussion with the Minister on certain issues, particularly those affecting Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) in the FCT. She emphasized that there are many details that require attention and discussion with the Minister.
Despite these concerns, Senator Kingibe urged her colleagues to pass the budget as presented. She emphasized the importance of swift passage to enable the implementation of the budget and the delivery of benefits to the people of the FCT.
