The All Progressives Congress (APC) has intensified its grassroots mobilisation ahead of the 2027 general elections with a North-Central mega rally held in Lafia, Nasarawa State.

The rally, which drew party leaders, women groups and supporters from across the zone, had in attendance the First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, who was received by the APC Director of Women Mobilisation, Dr Betta Edu, alongside other top party chieftains.

The event is part of the party’s efforts to strengthen its base at the grassroots and consolidate support for the Renewed Hope Agenda of the President Bola Ahmed Tinubu-led administration.

Speaking at the rally, party leaders said the massive turnout was a demonstration of the growing acceptance of the APC in the North-Central region and the confidence Nigerians have in the administration’s reforms.

Dr Betta Edu, who mobilised women for the rally, noted that women remain a critical force in the political process and assured that the party will continue to engage and empower women at all levels.

According to her, the APC under its current leadership has created more opportunities for women inclusion and participation in governance.

The First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, who was warmly received by the crowd, appreciated the people of Nasarawa and the North-Central zone for their support and urged them to remain united and committed to the progress of the country.

The rally featured colourful displays, solidarity songs and display of party insignia, with supporters reaffirming their loyalty to the APC ahead of the 2027 polls.

Party officials said the mobilisation train will continue across other geopolitical zones in the coming weeks.
