Bauchi Christian Women Condemn Killing of Former APC Women Leader

The Women’s Wing of the Christian Association of Nigeria in Bauchi State has strongly condemned the brutal killing of Jemimah Dutse, a former All Progressives Congress Women Leader. The group described the attack as senseless and alarming.

In a press statement, the association noted that the violent murder of a woman inside the supposed safety of her own home is a deeply worrying development. It warned that such acts threaten the peace and security of every woman, family and community across the state.

The group said it was deeply saddened and outraged by the circumstances surrounding Dutse’s tragic death. Members described her as a colleague and expressed solidarity with her family and loved ones at this difficult time.

WOWICAN Bauchi stressed that no one should live in fear of violence within their homes. The association called for a thorough investigation into the killing and for those responsible to be brought to justice without delay.

The women also urged security agencies and the government to take stronger measures to protect citizens, particularly women, from violent attacks.

They emphasised the need for communities to remain vigilant and for authorities to ensure that such incidents do not become a recurring reality in the state.
