Former Big Brother Naija housemates, Khafi Kareem and Gedoni Ekpata have marked six years of marriage, with Khafi taking to Instagram to share a heartfelt tribute to her husband.

In the post, the media personality reflected on the highs and lows of their union, admitting that the journey had come with moments of love, disagreement, laughter and tears, but crediting their shared faith for keeping them together through it all.

She expressed gratitude to God for guiding the couple and helping them grow closer over the years.

Khafi also opened up about her reluctance to speak publicly about marriage, noting that she does not see herself as an expert, especially when compared to couples who have spent decades together.

Still, she described marriage as one of her favourite subjects, one that demands humility, growth and unconditional love.

She went on to praise Gedoni directly, describing him as patient and tolerant, and referred to him affectionately as her “own Emmanuel”, a biblical reference meaning “God with me.” She closed the tribute with a prayer for their marriage to last a hundred years.

Khafi and Gedoni first met during the 2019 “Pepper Dem” edition of Big Brother Naija, where their on-screen romance captured the attention of viewers. They went on to formalise their relationship outside the show, got married, and have since welcomed two children together.

Their anniversary tribute has continued to draw warm reactions from fans and fellow reality TV alumni, many of whom see the couple as one of the more enduring relationships to emerge from the Big Brother Naija franchise.
