American record producer, Rickey “Slikk Muzik” Offord has named his newborn daughter after Nigerian singer, Ayra Starr.

He announced the birth on Instagram on Tuesday. The baby, Ayra Starr Offord, was born on 21 September 2026. One caption read: “Ayra Starr Offord. 09:21:26. Daddy loves you 4L.” Another post of the infant in a knit outfit embroidered with “Ayra” was captioned “Love you, twin.”

Ayra Starr, born Oyinkansola Sarah Aderibigbe, shared the producer’s post on her Instagram story. Offord has not published a longer statement on why he chose the name beyond the tribute itself.

Slikk Muzik is a four-time Grammy-winning producer whose credits include work with Tori Kelly and Lecrae. He is not a regular public collaborator of the Mavin and Roc Nation-signed singer. The naming is a fan-style honour from a US studio name to an Afrobeats act whose latest album is titled *Starrgirl*.
