Funke Akindele Teams With Waje, Bisola, Chioma on New Film Soundtrack

Funke Akindele has released “Ore mi”, a soundtrack recorded with Bisola Aiyeola, Waje and Chioma Akpotha for her upcoming film The Four: No One Fights Alone.

The track mixes English, Igbo and Yoruba and is built around friendship, love and the bond between close companions. Akindele said the four women went into the studio to make something that felt personal and familiar, with the folktale quality of stories they grew up hearing.

“Ore mi”, produced by Tyanx, is now on streaming platforms. The film follows Esosa and three loyal women who leave their community for the city to fight for the future of a young man they love. Akindele stars alongside Bisola, Chioma, Richard Mofe-Damijo, Timini Egbuson, Lateef Adedimeji and others. Waje also appears on screen.

The Four is scheduled for cinemas on 11 December. Akindele has used original songs on earlier hits, and the new single is part of a wider rollout that already includes first-look images and scene teasers.
