Nigerian Military Arrests Members of Notorious “Mahmuda” Terror Group

The Nigerian military has apprehended members of the notorious “Mahmuda” terror group, which has been operating in various local government areas of Kwara State and Niger State.

The military operation, which was carried out in Ilesha Baruba, Kemaanji in Baruten, and Kaiama local government areas of Kwara State, as well as around Kainji Lake Forest in Niger State, resulted in the neutralization of scores of terrorists who engaged the military in a fierce battle.

Many others escaped with gunshot wounds, while multiple suspects were arrested and taken into custody.

The success of the military operation was largely due to the close collaboration with members of the affected communities, who provided valuable information on the movement and activities of the terrorist group.

This cooperation helped to eliminate the “conspiratory silence” that has hindered efforts to combat terrorism in some parts of the country.

According to sources, the military operation was carefully planned and executed, with the aim of dismantling the “Mahmuda” terror group’s network and disrupting their activities in the region.

The operation is a significant milestone in the fight against terrorism in Nigeria and demonstrates the military’s commitment to protecting the lives and property of citizens.

Some of the members of the “Mahmuda” terror group who were arrested during the operation have been identified and their photos released. The suspects are currently being held in custody and are undergoing interrogation to gather more information about the group’s activities and plans.

The Nigerian military has been commended for their bravery and professionalism in carrying out the operation. The success of the operation is a testament to the military’s ability to work effectively with local communities to combat terrorism and ensure the safety and security of citizens.

Investigations into the activities of the “Mahmuda” terror group are ongoing, and more information is expected to be released in the coming days. The Nigerian military has assured citizens that they will continue to work tirelessly to protect the country from the threat of terrorism and ensure that those responsible for terrorist activities are brought to justice.
