TikTok stars, Habeeb Hamzat, known to millions of fans as Peller, and Elizabeth Amadu, popularly called Jarvis, held their white wedding on Saturday, closing out weeks of celebration that began with their traditional wedding rites. 

For fans unable to secure a spot at the ceremony, the couple made the event accessible online, streaming it live on both Twitch and YouTube.

Peller had earlier explained that the guest list for the white wedding would be tightly capped at between 80 and 100 people, a significant scale-down from the sprawling traditional wedding held on August 1.

He said the decision stemmed from his frustration with how that earlier ceremony had unfolded, alleging that a number of attendees had purchased aso-ebi fabric simply to gain entry, only to spend the event recording content rather than genuinely celebrating with the couple. He also made clear that bloggers would not be granted access to the white wedding, opting instead for a more intimate setting restricted to close family, friends, and a select circle of industry colleagues.

The white wedding itself was an emotional affair. In clips that quickly circulated online, Peller was seen in tears as he watched Jarvis walk down the aisle with her father, while other videos captured the couple sharing tender moments and dancing together at the reception. True to his word about a scaled-back guest list, only a handful of celebrities were in attendance, among them Fuji star Saheed Osupa, singer Peter Okoye, comedian Charles Okocha, and content creators Tacha and Papaya Ex.

The couple also cut into an elaborate white wedding cake

as part of the celebrations.

The union has not been without controversy. Sections of Nigerians online had previously criticised the couple over their age, questioning whether they were ready for marriage, a claim both Peller and Jarvis publicly dismissed.

That backlash, combined with Peller’s complaints about the traditional wedding being overrun by attendees more interested in content than celebration, shaped the decision to keep the white wedding smaller and invitation-only.

The couple, who built their massive following through TikTok livestreams and collaborative content, previously said they plan to spend their honeymoon travelling across eight different countries.
