The Ogun State Police Command have arrested 16 suspects in connection with various criminal activities, including illegal petroleum dealing, infrastructure vandalism, burglary, theft, and child defilement across the state.

The arrests were executed through coordinated tactical raids, intelligence-driven operations, forensic investigations, and swift responses to emergency distress calls carried out under the command’s special operational framework, Operation Kosaye.

Police Public Relations Officer DSP Oluseyi Babaseyi confirmed that officers seized two vehicles, a stolen motorcycle, four drums of Automotive Gas Oil, 13 jerry cans filled with diesel, a pumping machine, a generator, and several other exhibits during the raids.

Among those detained is a 50-year-old man arrested in the Agbado area over allegations of defiling an 11-year-old girl, while a separate tactical raid in the Sango area led to the arrest of a 51-year-old suspect linked to an illicit diesel bunkering syndicate.

The police command highlighted that the ongoing crackdown demonstrates its commitment to tackling crime, restoring safety in local communities, and safeguarding critical national economic infrastructure across Ogun State.
