Operation HADIN KAI Apprehends Man Allegedly Supplying Fuel to Terrorists
Troops of Operation HADIN KAI have apprehended a 23-year-old man suspected of providing logistical support to Boko Haram/ISWAP insurgents during a targeted operation in Gubio Local Government Area of Borno State.
According to intelligence sources, the suspect was arrested on July 15 after troops of the 149 Battalion, working alongside members of the Civilian Joint Task Force (CJTF), acted on credible intelligence regarding suspected terrorist support activities in the area.
The suspect, identified as Ali Umar, was intercepted while allegedly facilitating logistics for insurgents operating along the Binduldul–Kareto corridor.
Security operatives recovered a Volkswagen Golf with registration number BO KGG 268AA and a Tecno mobile phone during the operation.
During initial questioning, the suspect reportedly admitted to supplying Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), commonly known as petrol, to Boko Haram/ISWAP fighters active within the area.
He is currently being held by the 149 Battalion as investigations continue.
The arrest forms part of ongoing military operations aimed at dismantling terrorist logistics networks and cutting off supply channels that sustain insurgent activities across Nigeria’s North-East.
