Tinubu Lands in Anambra on Official Visit, to Inaugurate Soludo’s Projects

 

 

President Bola Tinubu has touched down at the Chinua Achebe International Airport, Umueri, Anambra State, marking the beginning of his official visit to the state.

 

The President’s aircraft landed safely at the airport at exactly 10:45 am, amidst tight security and fanfare.

 

He was received by the Governor of Anambra State, Professor Charles Soludo, who was accompanied by other top government officials, traditional rulers, and stakeholders from the state.

 

President Tinubu, who was dressed in a traditional attire, was treated to a warm welcome by the people of Anambra State, who turned out in large numbers to catch a glimpse of the President.

 

The airport was adorned with colorful decorations and banners, bearing the President’s image and messages of welcome.

 

During his visit, President Tinubu is expected to commission several projects, including the newly completed Umueri-Ekwulobia road, the Anambra State International Cargo Airport, and the Onitsha River Port. He will also hold meetings with stakeholders, including traditional rulers, business leaders, and youths, to discuss issues affecting the state and the region.

 

The President’s visit is seen as a significant boost to the state’s economy and a demonstration of the federal government’s commitment to the development of the South-East region. It is also expected to strengthen the relationship between the federal government and the state government, as well as promote unity and cooperation among the people of Anambra State.

 

In a statement, the President’s spokesperson, Bayo Onanuga, said that the visit is a “testament to the President’s commitment to the development of all parts of the country, regardless of region or ethnicity.”

 

He added that the President is “eager to engage with the people of Anambra State and explore ways to address the challenges facing the state and the region.”

 

The President’s visit is expected to last for two days, during which he will also visit other parts of the state, including Onitsha, Awka, and Nnewi. His itinerary includes a visit to the famous Onitsha Market, where he will interact with traders and artisans, as well as a stopover at the Umueri community, where he will commission a new water project.

 

The people of Anambra State have been advised to cooperate with security agencies and follow all guidelines to ensure a smooth and successful visit.

 

The state government has also announced that there will be a public holiday on the second day of the President’s visit, to enable residents to participate in the activities lined up for the visit.
