Abuja Infrastructure Renewal Will Be Replicated Nationwide
President Bola Tinubu has said the ongoing infrastructure renewal in the Federal Capital Territory reflects his administration’s broader agenda for national development, promising to extend similar projects to communities across the country.
The President, represented by Vice President Kashim Shettima, stated this on Thursday while inaugurating the newly completed Collector Road C01 and bridge in Abuja.
Tinubu described infrastructure development as a key driver of economic growth, investment and employment, saying the administration is committed to replicating the transformation taking place in the nation’s capital in other cities, satellite towns and rural communities.
He disclosed that work on the project was accelerated following concerns over poor access to the Nigerian Law School and commended the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, for ensuring its completion through emergency procurement.
The newly inaugurated project includes a link bridge, underground drainage system and solar-powered streetlights, and is expected to improve access to the Nigerian Law School as well as neighbouring communities.
