New Leadership for Dental Therapists’ Board as Government Appoints Seasoned Expert

In a move to strengthen the regulation of dental therapy practice in Nigeria, the Federal Government has announced the appointment of a renowned professional, Dr. Dele Anisere, to head the Dental Therapists’ Registration Board of Nigeria. The appointment, which took effect on May 5th, 2025, is for a four-year term.
According to a statement from the Ministry of Health & Social Welfare, Dr. Anisere’s selection followed a thorough and meticulous process. The Minister of State for Health & Social Welfare, Dr. Iziaq Salako, praised the ministry’s diligence in choosing a suitable candidate, expressing confidence that the new appointee would bring significant value to the board.
